Description

NGC 1300 is a large spiral galaxy lying approx. 70 million light years away from Earth, in the constellation Eridanus. The galaxy spans over 100,000 light-years, around half the size of our galaxy.

Like other spiral galaxies, including our own Milky Way, NGC 1300 is thought to have a supermassive black hole at its core.
